The Truth about Cycles: Honoring our Phases

Hey there, everybody- it's Alexandra, your favorite Angelic Luminary!

The Moon, the Earth, our bodies: what do they all have in common? Besides deserving love and holding magic, these all have cycles and phases of production, rest, and transition.

All the witches reading this have certainly found their eye drawn to the Moon at one point or another to read the energy of the moment. When filling, the Moon supports us in creation. At fullness, illumination and truth while preparing to let go of anything that does not serve us. As she begins to release, so do we- followed by the New Moon, when we prepare ourselves for the next stage of growth. A rapid cycle of 29 days to complete and restart- often used in magic and ritual due to it's short timeline as well as shifting energy.

The Earth shares with us a slower change but just as powerful. Our Spring is awakening, creating, and renewing. Summer shares a time of growth, healing, and receiving. The gathering energy continues into the Autumn as she begins to close chapters, release, and slow down. Finally, Winter reaches our doorsteps as Earth takes her true, deep, nourishing rest to prepare for this cycle to repeat all over again. Drawn out over the course of the year, she offers us extremes with periods of transition between; allowing us to prepare and enjoy each phase in it's own beautiful way.

Now we turn our eyes to ourselves. Full of similar cycles- both rapid and drawn out. However, unlike the Moon and Earth that we praise the beauty and magic of, we often end up abusing ourselves for not meeting expectations set upon us from just about anywhere! The words of a loved one expressing your laziness or the laughter of peers when taking a step back from something you had been passionate about effects the way we perceive ourselves through our own personal seasons of life, magic, and growth.

Opening your mind to the similarities you hold with the Earth and the Moon can guide you to a place of deeper self-love and creation.

I myself have been in a phases of releasing; taking steps back from things that used to serve me and keeping unlocked doors closed while I process this upcoming season. There's already a sense of magic and electricity buzzing in my bones. The Angels are holding out hands and creating beacons for communities. This is my Spring; awakening and rebirthing for fulfillment and power.

What season are you in?
